Domson’s structural engineer was a key member of the construction team working on the “Forever Bicycles” sculpture, as seen recently on display at the Nuit Blanche 2013 art exhibit.

Competing against a tight deadline (2 days!), Domson provided a complete set of shop drawings to suit the fabrication process for the superstructure frames.

“This was a very unique project with interesting challenges. Seeing the finished product makes you feel proud to be involved,” said Yaser Abu-Renneh, our structural engineer working on the project.

“Forever Bicycles” is an incredible 3D sculpture designed by renowned Chinese artist Ai Weiwei, celebrating everyday objects in an “abstract and symbolic way”.

Established in 2006, Nuit Blanche is an annual event celebrating culture and contemporary art in downtown Toronto. This event temporarily transforms the downtown landscape into a public exhibit of modern art and festivity.
