Canadian Services

We are industry leaders when it comes to inspection, certification, and engineering services. We are proud of our Canadian roots and take pride in serving our Canadian customers and appreciate their loyalty. We help our customers with inspections, certification and crane engineering nationwide, as well as the lifting industry. We also provide visual inspections, non destructive testing and engineering support for construction, power generation, oil and gas, chemical, steel fabrication, and manufacturing industries. Our inspectors are certified to CAN/CGSB 48.9712 standard, and our on-staff licensed professional engineers provide a wealth of industry knowledge and capabilities that set us apart from our competitors.

We are a premier provider of a full range of Conventional NDE (Non-Destructive Evaluation/Examination) services. We work with high-reliability manufacturers and stand by our core values to always have safety and success at the top of mind, consistently providing safe and reliable solutions. Our NDE testing includes, but is not limited to: Liquid penetrant testing, magnetic particle testing, ultrasonics, hardness testing, vacuum box testing and more. Our comprehensive suite of testing options allows us to meet a variety of inspection needs as they arise.

We have a strong reputation for mobile crane inspection, certification, and NDT, as well as supporting engineering services for the Canadian lift industry. We offer inspection and certification for: Mobile cranes, vehicle mounted aerials, man lifts & scissor lifts, concrete pumpers, tower cranes, fire truck aerials, fork truck and other material handlers, Jib and Gantry cranes, drill rigs, spreader beams and man baskets, MCWP's (Mast-Climbing Work Platforms) and general lift equipment inspections. Our Engineering services develop repair procedures for damaged cranes and other construction equipment, engineer lifts for heavy loads, tandem crane lifts or installation into difficult areas and load testing and rating of cranes and other lift equipment.

Steel Bridge Structure Inspections

For almost 20 years now, we have been providing bridge NDT services in Canada to structural steel bridges, relating to initial fabrication and erection (visual QA inspector) as well as in-service fatigue inspections. Our inspections are carried out by technicians certified to CGSB standard 48-9712 as well as CSA W178.2. All inspections are directed by a professional engineer experienced in bridge inspection and certified as a CSA W178.2 level 3 inspector. Not only can you rely on our field personnel for your inspection needs, but our in-house engineers also develop inspection test plans and create professional bridge inspection reports complete with CAD drawings of bridge details. We use a combination of visual inspection and various nondestructive testing methods to inspect the following structural components: Bridge/box girders, abutment welds, trusses and columns, bolts and rivets, stiffener plates, diaphragms, splices and bearing plates.
We are the go-to industry engineering expert for structural, mechanical, lifting, and welding in Canada. Our engineers understand the needs of your industry and consistently strive to produce safe, sound, and cost-effective engineering solutions for your projects. For structural engineering projects, our core competencies are: Steel and concrete design, specialty concrete foundations, concrete slab design, open web steel joist reinforcements, structural steel, and temporary shoring plans. For mechanical engineering, we specialize in: Lift equipment, lift planning, machine design and drafting, and more. Our lift engineering services include: Engineered lift plans, accident investigation and the creation of custom load charts. Lastly, we provides welding engineering services (weld failure analysis, creation of weld procedures and data sheets) to multiple sectors, including the lift industry, mining, petrochemical and chemical, the pipeline industry, and metal fabrication (steel and aluminum).
When a lift does not go according to plan, or an equipment failure causes an accident, Industrial Inspection & Analysis (IIA) can help you quickly get to the root cause. Our team is prepared to conduct (or oversee) a thorough, unbiased investigation and provide engineering solutions to ensure equipment will not endanger workers. Along the way, we will help you navigate Ministry of Labour requirements for accident reporting and resolution. As a trusted leader in equipment integrity, we are frequently called upon to provide expert witness testimony in legal proceedings. Clients also partner with us for subrogation services that can reduce insurance costs. We bring an eye for detail to every investigation and experience that spans decades and industries.
