Services We Provide
Engineered Repair Solutions
Beyond our full menu of inspection offerings, IIA’s engineering expertise is a leader in the industry. With a team of licensed structural, mechanical and welding engineers at your service, we can provide welding and structural engineering solutions to repair defects on critical components
Fatigue Inspections and Testing
Our fatigue inspection services provide the answers you need about the structural integrity of in-service bridges and other aging infrastructure. We use a combination of visual inspection and the latest non-destructive examination methods to closely inspect structural components, from girders and trusses to bolts and bearing plates.
Our experts can also help you develop an inspection test plan targeting fatigue-prone details and provide oversight of testing activities.
Erection Inspection Services
In the field, our team can provide critical quality assurance oversight for fabrication and erection of new bridges, highway signs, high mast lighting poles, or other infrastructure. We take a fresh look at material specifications, structural components, assembly, welding and bolting process used in the field, and verify welder qualifications. Our experts are also available to provide QA oversight during erection of major components and verify compliance with erection drawings and procedures.
Project Planning & Management
Interested in turnkey testing services? Our experience in the industry has prepared us to take on a project management role for all required inspection and testing activities, including coordination of trac control and access equipment needed to perform inspections. On the front end, our engineering experts can assist with developing a comprehensive inspection plan and checklist to ensure compliance from start to finish. Upon completion of testing activities, you will receive a comprehensive report detailing our inspection methodology and results, including photos of defects, detailed CAD drawings, mitigation strategies, and engineering recommendations.
Rope Access NDT
In certain situations, where a bridge is not accessible using an under-bridge inspection truck, rope access is the only alternative. IIA has NDT inspectors who are IRATA certified and fully qualified to inspect under bridges.
