For nearly 50 years, IIA’s ElectroMagnetic Compatibility Team has provided electronic device testing and product certification that helps bring innovative products to the world — from medical devices to marine radars.

Special Visitors at IIA
The 4th annual Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) and Navy’s Additive Manufacturing, Center of Excellence (AM CoE) Summit was held April 28-30 in Danville, VA. Over 400 stakeholders attended the summit. We were proud to give Admiral Kilby and Admiral Houston a private tour of our facility as part of IALR, ATDM and AM CoE.

“The cool thing with a CT machine is that it can also do a lot of non-destructive testing (NDT) work, which complements what IIA is doing in our radiography labs for flaw detection. We can use a CT scanner to do a porosity analysis and create a 3D image of the part that shows voids or inclusions and also provides exact volumes for those voids, which is pretty cool technology.”
