IIA’s Washington Lab Celebrates 40 Years as a Calibration Leader
Congratulations to our Lab Services team in Washington state! 2026 marks 40 years as a premier provider of Calibration & Pyrometry Services. By ensuring that industrial measurement equipment delivers precise readings, our lab in Kent, Washington, helps customers reduce the risk of product defects, equipment malfunctions, and safety hazards.
Founded in 1986, the ANSI- and ISO/IEC-accredited laboratory — known originally as Advanced Technical Services NW or “ATS” —went on to become the largest full-service, independent provider of calibration services in the Pacific Northwest. Key services at our Washington Lab include calibration and repair of calipers, micrometers, and other hand tools. Our team also provides pyrometry to ensure accurate oven and furnace temperature measurement in manufacturing processes.
ATS’s unique mix of field and laboratory calibration services was a welcome addition to IIA’s growing portfolio of services when IIA acquired the company in June 2019.
