From Domson to IIA: 25 Years as an Inspection & Engineering Leader
Congratulations to our Canadian Services group! 2023 marks 25 years of providing premier inspection and engineering services that help make the world a safer place.
Founded in 1998 as Domson Engineering & Inspection, the Ontario-based company made a name for itself as a leader in non-destructive testing (NDT) and engineering solutions. Domson’s roots grew out of the heavy lift and construction industries, where we began inspecting mobile lift equipment and providing design support for this industry.
Over the years, the company grew to provide general NDT services, supported by an engineering backbone, for a variety of industries, including construction, fire departments, steel fabrication, power generation, oil and gas, and automotive.
Beyond having a strong understanding of material inspection and welding processes, our engineering department also specializes in various structural and mechanical engineering applications. Our engineering further supports the lift industry through the design of custom lifting equipment, lift planning for critical lift operations, heavy equipment modification, and accident investigation.
Attracted by its reputation as an industry leader, Domson Engineering & Inspection was acquired by Industrial Inspection & Analysis in December 2017 and remains a trusted partner to clients in many industries today.
