Services We Provide
Hoses, Pumps, Appliances
IIA has a tailored-made, perfected inspection process, which includes a custom-built support structure for reloading inspected hoses. Removing hoses and racks one at a time allows other trucks to stay in service and means less down time. IIA’s thorough tests include flow and pressure tests to ensure no leaks, and our detailed recording includes: diameter, length, manufacturer, age, andlocation. We provide a custom inventory tagging system for each coupling, which means no failed hoses will recirculate. We have also created industry specificcages and gauges for safe appliance and nozzle testing.
Techs & Tests
Our highly-skilled Level II NDE Certified technicians conduct complete visual and operational tests of your aerial devices and all related components. These tests can include non-destructive examinations (NDE), such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Dye Penetrant (DP), and also Magnetic Particle (MP) testing, to validate the integrity of the structural welds. We test the hydraulics to confirm the security of the equipment, and we also conduct timing, load, and drift tests, as well as waterway flow, leak, pressure and twist tests.
Aerial and Ground Ladders
IIA performs all necessary annual ladder inspections accordingto NFPA guidelines using traditional and specialty equipment. We provide testing for ground, roof, attic, combination, extension, and multipurpose ladders, conducting visual, operational, bend, and drift tests. We also perform hardware, pressure, and load tests to make certain the ground ladder safely withstands all load requirements using our mobile crane load testing equipment. Our experts are trained to test all ladders, whether metal, wood, or fiberglass, in accordance with NFPA guidelines and place an IIA testing identification sticker on all ladders.
Technology We Use
Pump Commander
IIA's Pump Commander is a large trailer with an inner tank that allows us to complete Fire Pump Testing on an apparatus that has a pump on it. It is filled with clean water that allows IIA to draft water for a pump test. Our test ensures that your fire trucks and fire pump are performing at the correct number of gallons per minute (GPM's). IIA is also able to hook up the pump commander and perform pump tests on up to two fire trucks at one time for pumps that are smaller than 1500 GPM's. The IIA Pump Commander is portable and we typically perform tests at a fire station, but tests can also be completed at multiple industrial fire apparatus service agencies. Lastly, IIA ensures that our Pump Commander complies with the National Fire Protection Association, NFPA guidelines.
