As the saying goes, “The show must go on!” And when you partner with Industrial Inspection & Analysis, you can be sure it goes on safely.
You may be familiar with the IIA name in the industrial arena, where we are a leading provider of structural engineering services. But it may surprise you to learn IIA is also a trusted name in entertainment engineering.
From the concept stage to final construction, our engineers can help with the design of structures and mechanical systems for performance venues, entertainment productions, unique art exhibits, and more. We will ensure that safety standards are upheld, without compromising the aesthetics or functionality of the artist’s vision.
Our team can assist with any type of structures involving Christie lites, staging, high-strength cables, complex suspension systems, foundations/supports for heavy exhibits, fall protection and more. Whatever the project, we will select the materials, develop the specifications, and establish the construction method needed to make it work.
Having the right team of engineers working behind the scenes will help ensure that your production or exhibit goes off without a hitch. While we can’t guarantee rave reviews, we can ensure something far more important: safety.

“Forever Bicycles” Sculpture
Back in 2013, we were proud to play a key role on the construction team working on the “Forever Bicycles” 3D sculpture by Chinese artist Ai Weiwei for display at the Nuit Blanche art exhibit in Toronto.
Competing against a tight deadline (2 days!), IIA’s Domson Engineering subsidiary in Canada provided a complete set of shop drawings to suit the fabrication process for the superstructure frames.
“This was a very unique project with interesting challenges,” said Yaser Abu-Renneh, the structural engineer working on the project. “Seeing the finished product makes you feel proud to be involved.”
