Our Team
Our field technicians hold a variety of certifications for multiple applications, such as CGSB for NDT, CWB for welding inspection, API for storage tanks, pressure vessels, and piping, and NACE/AMPP for coating inspection.We are a CSA W178.2 certified inspection agency with the Canadian Welding Bureau and a Transport Canada approved NDT Aircraft Maintenance Organization. In addition to the Canadian standards, our inspectors have certifications in accordance with the American Welding Society (AWS) and American Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT).
On-staff licensed professional engineers provide a wealth of industry knowledge and capabilities that set us apart from our competitors. We have a strong reputation for lifting equipment inspection and certification, as well as supporting engineering services for the Canadian lift industry. We offer inspection and certification for mobile cranes, mobile elevation lifting platforms, bucket trucks, fire trucks, forklifts, concrete pumpers, drill rigs, material handlers, tower cranes, overhead, jib and gantry cranes, spreader beams, wire rope, and other lift equipment.
Our Engineering team is capable of developing welding repair procedures for damaged cranes and other construction equipment. They also design engineered lift plans for heavy loads, tandem crane lifts or installation into difficult areas. Our engineers provide reverse engineering services and develop load testing plans to certify the structural and mechanical integrity and load rating capacity of cranes and other lift equipment.
For more than 20 years, we have been one of Canada’s leading providers of inspection and NDT services for structural steel bridges, relating to fabrication and erection of new bridges, as well as in-service fatigue inspection of existing bridges. Our inspections are carried out by technicians certified to CGSB standard 48-9712, as well as CSA W178.2. All inspections are directed by a professional engineer experienced in bridge inspection and certified as a CSA W178.2 Level 3 inspector. Not only can you rely on our field personnel for your inspection needs, but our in-house engineers also develop inspection test plans and create professional bridge inspection reports complete with comprehensive descriptions of the findings and recommendations for repair and maintenance. We use a combination of visual inspection and various non-destructive testing methods to inspect the fracture critical members, distortion induced and fatigue prone details.
Rope Access Inspections
Rope access is an efficient and affordable method of reaching inspection areas in challenging environments. When compared to alternative reach methods, such as scaffolding, cranes or manlifts, rope access can be 30 to 80% more cost effective.
Engineering Services

- Lastly, we provide welding engineering services, including weld failure analysis, creation of weld procedures and data sheets to multiple sectors, including the lift industry, mining, petrochemical and chemical, the pipeline industry, and metal fabrication (steel and aluminum).
Since 1984, our St-Laurent, Quebec, laboratory has been a leading provider of fuel and fluid analyses. The services we provide in our Canada lab help to ensure that the oil, fuel, coolant and grease used to power industrial equipment meets regulatory and safety standards. Customers across industries rely on our expert testing and analyses as a tool to monitor the condition of industrial, mining and transport equipment and proactively identify potential hazards.
Our ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 accredited lab is managed by professional, Ph.D.-level chemists. Our highly qualified lab technicians scrupulously apply the most recent ASTM fuel, oil, coolant, and grease testing methods. Membership on the ASTM D02 Committee on Petroleum Products, Liquid Fuels, and Lubricants keeps our Canada lab on the leading edge of new standards and procedures.
